This is my first blog post. Congratulations me.  Yay me, hahaha.  ...and because this is my very own blog, I am now able to proclaim myself an authority in the field of first-time bloggers who have a website forum based on a life-long hobby that I use as an escape from the real work I would otherwise be doing.  That's a bit of a mouthful.  But I do deal with food, so that's algoods.  It's possible there are others out there in the interweb like me..., self-proclaimed authorities, all of us! I hope you have as much fun reading as I do writing.  Maybe I'll throw in some doodles and diagrams and a few cartoons to liven this journey up a bit.  The highlight for me, now that post #1 is done, will be making a second post!  I've taken the first bite of the proverbial cookie..., time to chew a bit, decide if I like the taste, and see about taking another.
